“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” Eph. 5.31 and 32.

Christ and the church, as husband and wife, should be one flesh. So the church is the same as his bride. But then it is also true to know and understand what the church is! What you generally call a church is not the church. We must say that people are almost playing church. So the church is his body. His body was crucified. Therefore, his bride, who is the church or his body, is all who - by faith - are or become crucified with him, or in other words. all those who do not do their own will, but who on the contrary deny it as the Bridegroom himself did.
